The Witness Inc. Appoints Danielle Marck as President and CEO

Danielle Marck, President and CEO of The Witness Inc.

We are pleased to share an important update about the future leadership of The Witness.

As many of you know, in 2021 our founder stepped away from day-to-day leadership. At that time, the Board made a deliberate decision not to rush into appointing a successor. Instead, we chose to pause, reflect, and listen—carefully considering what The Witness needed next in order to remain faithful to its mission and strong in its impact.

Over the past several years, the organization has continued to support the leadership of The BCC and Foundation Presidents as they’ve worked together arm in arm. We also took the time to evaluate our leadership structure to see if it supports our future direction and discerned a structure that would be suitable for the future.

Today, we are thrilled to announce that the Board has appointed Danielle Marck as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Witness, Inc.

Danielle Marck is not new to The Witness. Over the past nearly five years, Danielle Marck has served the organization with distinction, most recently as President of The Witness Foundation. In these roles,  Danielle Marck has demonstrated deep commitment to our mission, strong leadership, and a clear understanding of the organization’s people, programs, and future opportunities.

An alumnus of West Chester University, Danielle holds a certification from the Yale School of Management, with a specialization in Fostering Diversity and Inclusion. Her leadership is shaped by a commitment to truthful storytelling, institutional repair, and the formation of leaders equipped to serve both the church and their community.

Danielle’s work and writing have been featured in Our Daily Bread and The Winters Group. She is also the host of Can I Get a Witness, a forthcoming podcast exploring faith, justice, and leadership through a Black Christian lens. Danielle is also a board member with For The Future Ghana.

An award-winning artist, Danielle has written chart-topping records and received honors including Urban One’s 30 Under 30 and a Hometown Hero Award. She is a member of ForbesBLK and joined The Recording Academy, the professional body behind the GRAMMY Awards, in 2025.

Sharing her thoughts on this moment, Danielle stated, “It is an honor to step into this role in a time where the world is in need of authentic Christians to rise up and stand against injustice. The Witness, Inc. has long stood against injustice as a prophetic voice, providing a space for the refreshment and empowerment of Black Christians. I am eager to see what God has in store for this beloved community and holy movement.”

We are confident that appointing a leader who knows The Witness from the inside—and who has already earned the trust of staff, partners, and supporters—positions the organization well for its next chapter. We are excited to see Danielle Marck’s leadership expand in this new role as we look toward continued growth, stability, and impact.
